President's
Message
Welcome
to the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 78 web site. This web site
is dedicated to those members of the Mount Arlington lodge who have
gone before us holding the thin blue line in our profession. Some
have retired and moved on, but others still uphold the values that
our founding fathers set for our lodge. The Police Officer above
all others is required to practice the greatest act of religious
training, which is sacrifice. We must always take a moment to honor
the sacrifice that others have made protecting our freedom and the
citizens of Mount Arlington from criminal enterprise.
The executive board of Lodge 78 is made up of Police
Officers who have walked the beat protecting the streets. They understand
the unique nature of law enforcement and the challenges that it
may bring to its membership. There is a strong tradition of representation
and esprit de corps that insures fidelity to duty and the unbreakable
bond of our brothers and sisters to being a Police Officer. We walk
with the burden and the humility that we are mere ambassadors to
the needs of the membership which we represent. It is in the strength
and courage of our membership that we find courage when courage
seems to fail, to regain faith when there seems to be little cause
for faith, to create hope when it appears that it has gone astray.
We are the executive board for Lodge 78, your ambassadors, your
voice, your leadership.
The Mount Arlington Fraternal Order of Police is
the lodge for the Police Officers who serve Mount Arlington and
Netcong Borough. The Lodge was founded and chartered in December
12,1988 and continues to strive for excellence in the fields of
fraternalism, labor, and dedication to those who serve in the police
profession. Please use the web site as a tool and if there are any
questions please feel free to contact us or any other member of
the executive board.
Fraternally,
Joseph Wargo
